I purchased these to replace a pair of cheap boot covers that were wearing out. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase, however there were a couple of areas where they fell short of my expectations.
First the good: They look fantastic! I got the black medium, and they look even better in person than in the photo. The faux leather is distressed just enough and worked perfectly with my pirate outfit. They fit perfectly too, which is something I was particularly worried about. Of course, everyone's feet are different, but at least it's nice to know that the size range they quoted was spot on. Another big plus is that they don't sag at all, and the fold over part stays put -- two problems that plagued me constantly with my old boot covers.
The downside of this is that you can't fold the flap up on these. There is a very prominent zipper that runs all the way from the sole to the top. It's black and blends in for the most part, but to some it will definitely be a deal breaker so it's not surprising that they avoid showing it in the photos. On the plus side, the zipper itself seems pretty sturdy and makes getting into the boot a snap.
There is no padding at all in the in-sole, so you will probably have to add something, especially since the heel is made of hard plastic and offers no shock absorbtion at all. They click-clack quite loudly on concrete and hard floor surfaces.
Despite the drawbacks, I feel that I got a really nice pair of "starter" boots for an amazing price, so I'd recommend them to others.

These boots are great. Comfortable to wear, and a great pirate look. I searched online for days at all the so called "pirate" websites and found boots half the quality and appeal for twice the price. The full length zipper up the inside make them easy to put on and take off. They completed my Halloween costume perfectly.

These boots are even better than I was hoping for!!
I bought them because I wanted to use them for my Musketeer look this Fall and the reviews were excellent. I must say they are perfect for me. $61 for these boots was an outstanding deal! The leather is smooth, smells great, and is pliant to the wear. The zipper on the inseam of the boot is easily hidden and no one will actually know that it is there at all. The suggested fitting size was perfect and after hours of getting them worn-in, I have yet to have achy feet (although there isn't much arch support).
The only negative (and it is really being grossly over-picky) is that the buckle is a bit on the flimsy-side. But that is not a big deal at all and should not sway you away from buying these!
I highly doubt you could ever find a better quality paid for this low of a price! It gets a 5-Star Rating the old-fashioned way ... it earned it!!
